The Living Building Challenge is coming soon to a city near you!
WHY?
Living Building Challenge has swept North America. Widely accepted to be the most advanced green building standard in the world, the purpose of the Challenge is straightforward: it defines the most advanced measure of sustainability in the built environment possible today and acts to diminish the gap between current limits and ideal solutions. This certification program covers all building at all scales and is a unified tool for transformative design, allowing us to envision a future that is Socially Just, Culturally Rich and Ecologically Benign. It is comprised of seven performance areas, or ‘Petals’: Site, Water, Energy, Health, Materials, Equity and Beauty.
In response to frequent requests for introductory presentations, we have decided to hit the road and create an opportunity to share the tenets of the program with advanced practitioners in the United States and Canada.
